"Beautiful, I See"

A helpful sparrow's come to say the day's begun;
I brew some coffee and I step out to the sun;
A lazy breeze goes gently 'cross my cheek;
I can smell the sweet perfume of jasmine by the creek;
This day is BEAUTIFUL, I SEE.
To start the morning, I take time for God above,
Then a couple donuts with some guys I really love;
Back at home I'm greeted by the sound of smiling eyes,
And I'm reminded of the day she was my bride;
This day is BEAUTIFUL, I SEE.
Never dwell on troubles, don't regret a day;
Blessings come in doubles--guess I'm gonna stay!
Great to have the grandkids here to spend the afternoon;
One of them reminds me of a long-forgotten tune;
I grab my guitar and get them all to sing along;
And as we're singing I can see my family's strong--
Today is beautiful, so very beautiful,
This day is BEAUTIFUL, I SEE.
