Building a case;

Checking connections,

Drifting in place;

Edging out slowly,

Falling on face...taking it DAY BY DAY.

 

Going the distance,

Holding the line;

Idling my engines,

Juggling time;

Keeping my balance and

Losing my mind....taking it DAY BY DAY.

 

Misunderstanding why;

Nearing a high-and-dry;

Offering IOU's;

Paying with midnight blues;

Questioning every play;

Reasoning it's OK--

Seeing, 

Touching--

 

Upping the standard,

Vaulting the height;

Walking on Stage Left,

eXiting right;

Yearning for clout, but

Zeroing out...taking it DAY BY DAY.
