See her on the sidewalk, suddenly our eyes lock;

How I'd love to meet her, but once again I let her go;

Couldn't get my nerve up--couldn't even tell her hello.

 

Talkin' in my tea cup; wishing I had spoke up;

Hopin' that she'd see me;  dreamin' of a life-to-be;

Headin' down the sidewalk, walking off alone to somewhere.

 

It seems I've been watching from a distance

Pondering existence, wondering if I'll catch my dream;

No more contemplation, end the HESITATION

And catch the dream!

 

Sitting in the office, wishing I could hold her;

Looking out the window, hoping that I'd see her go,

Startin' down the side street, dream' of her ultimate life

With someone;

Guess I better meet her, tell how our dreams can be one.
