Words & Music by Tom Sperrazzo
Child of a time when tales of chivalry charmed;
Sent to be trained to lead defenders in arms;
Fullness of life--this knight lacked one great test:
To rescue from harm a maiden in distress.
Called to the fight to save a neighboring town;
The cannon's harsh bite and all at once you were down;
Carried back home to heal wounds and wait;
There in the books, you read your earthly fate.
Leader of souls for the greater glory of God;
Teacher of hearts to form defenders of Truth;
Sender of men to the very ends of the earth;
Venerable INIGO, loyal to the Truth!
Choosing the path of the very poorest and then
Writing a plan to guide a company of men;
Honing their minds--a thousand spirits they stand!
Yet humble you bow, and wait your Lord's command.
