"Mouse 62"

Words & Music by Tom Sperrazzo

Back in the day...

There was a way to play:

They wanted the big cats to prey on the meek;

And we were among the weak;

Not a lot in our house;

We laid it all on the Mouse;

And in his eyes, the prize!

From their perch on the top

They fearlessly licked their chops;

Never expecting to lose all control;

What harm could emerge from one tiny soul?

Then they let down their guard--

That's when he played his card;

When they'd yawn--he's gone!

And he ran on and on and on;

Each time they looked the mouse was gone;

(Can't catch him!)
