"Nancy Pants"

Words & Music by Tom Sperrazzo, 1982

Quite by chance, I met my baby in Paris, France,
In a dance hall;
Tappin' on the tables, legs just like Grable's had she.

Head of curls, like a crown on her smile of pearls;
In her gown she was an
Ever-lovin' cutie,
Never off-duty--oh, yeah!

Took a chance to ask her name she said:
"NANCY PANTS"..that's how the flame of romance
Set us a buzzin', we were in love in no time.

Wake us in the mornin' and the sun doesn't shine,
Oh, my! We'll have to picnic in the rain!
But Nancy Pants could dance away the blues in a snap,
With nothin' but a tappety-tap!

Now our plans
Are forever and NANCY PANTS
We're together!
I'm oh-so-glad it happened!
I'm tappin' my love for you!
