"Wheel of Fortune"
Wods & Music by Tom Sperrazzo 2026
Sipping a vintage Bordeaux,
Snacking on baked escargot;
That was my life, not long ago.
Dining with Hollywood stars,
Savoring Cuban cigars;
Was a fine life, on the top.
So when you see me lying here in shambles ,
You're prob’ly wondering’, where'd it all go?
The wheel of fortune , it just turned on me,
That gold life gave me the old Heave-ho.
Flying to Paris for shoes,
Hanging with sir Howard Hughes;
Yes, it sounds crazy, but I tell but it’s true.
Traded the flowery and sweet,
For the Bowery and life on the street;
But that's how the cookie crumbled for me.
I figure that
High-life I lived was something gifted;
How it happened, I couldn't say how;
But now that the great wheel has shifted,
You look down and see what I am now:
Bum-de-bum...
